HID retrofit club

Re: HID retrofit club
Okay I finally got the brackets done LOL I'm kinda slow so it took me a while to figure out how to design them.. I made 4 seperate brackets first and it seemed like i would have trouble leveling them then I just decide to make one large bracket on the bottom and use the stock levelers ... it was easy just took me a while to figure it out... I just order some TSX R lenses from matt at (RS) I decided not to do the whole ghetto thing with the lenses and it will make it easier to modify the cutoff and do the color mod with out alot of trial and error....

Re: HID retrofit club
I dunno if it made a difference let me know how they look but I have took the spaceing down on the adapters from
1/2inch
To 1/4 inch
it looks alot better to me and has a more intense output I will prolly sell these adapters and lenses after I get my 30 posts restriction met..
Compaired to the stock output with stock lenses

Re: HID retrofit club
Picked up my new retrofit today, can't wait to get them on the car next week!
Posted my specs above. Was able to test my output at 35w tonight and it was even better then the picture I posted above. Cutoff sharpness and color is amazing with the TSX-R lenses. I can't wait to see what there like with my 55w ballasts.
Shots of them...went with the OEM+ look and kept the chrome housing.

Re: HID retrofit club
Just finished my retrofit. 50w Rx330 w/ E30.
The left headlight needs to be tilted a bit, but it doesn't bother me while driving so I'll fix it when I fix it =p

That is a nice retrofit good choice of projector .. Im sure people can see why these are like the best projectors... If not its because of the intensely wide light pattern that has been dubed as "165 degrees of driving pleasure"..

Re: HID retrofit club
Thanks man!
Haha, I did spend a pretty penny on them but I didn't buy everything from Caesar (Lightwerkz), all I got from him is my ballasts, D2S adapters, and obviously labor so I saved some money sourcing everything on my own.
Idk I wanted to do a retro on my GSR and never got around to it so with this car I decided to do it once and do it right the first time.
I went to lightworks and saw how much this retrofit cost... ALL I gotta say is BALLIN!!!!!!!!!

Re: HID retrofit club
This is my retro that I used with TSX projectors, oem black housings, and 5000k digital hid kit. These TSX lenses are alot better and have a wider, stronger beam than my old a6 retro. This was completed by HID ILLUSIONZ and they did an awesome job. let me know what you guys think..

Re: HID retrofit club
How do you guy's get the cutoff alignment straight????
I just did my retrofit (02-04 tsx projectors) in 96 civic headlights and I used my judgment when trying to make sure the cutoff line is straight.

Re: HID retrofit club
I just eyeballed it, wasn't too hard with TL projectors because of the holes for mounting it.
