I am seriously considering doing a k24 swap into one of the chassis and going with I/H/E and k pro. Not sure if a k20 head is worth it or not...

I am currently driving a Ek clean coupe. Just not sure if its worth spending $6500 on such an old car...

I was wondering which would be easiest and cheaper?

Looking at base models around my area, which range from $3500 (high mileage) to $5500.

Would a k24 swap into a ek coupe be much faster than into a base RSX?

I really like the fact that in the RSX i can use stock mounts, which will have minimal vibration as compared to the hasport 60a mounts required for the EK civic coupe.

A k24 making reasonable power will destroy stock mounts in an rsx in no time. Don't kid yourself.

The civic will have the weight advantage and better suspension, so yes, it will be faster.

what is a realistic 1/4 goal to aim for with the k24 in a ek coupe chasis, with a lsd transmission on really good street tires.

I think a stock k24 with I/H/E and 3" exhaust makes close to 215 to 220whp ?


What size exhaust is the best selection to go with ?
2.5 or 3" ?
Would one be much louder than the other? I plan to run a catalytic converter.

saw this video, would this be a stock k24a with BPU or to achieve this type of acceleration would I have to build the k24 block?

is it necessary to swap out the EK subframe for a EG or DC2 subframe ?

Iwas reading that with ek subfram the motor sits closer to the front and there are some issues with fitting.

I.E some headers wont fit..
the axles/drive-shaft angle is better with the eg/dc subframe.. can someone expand upon this?

Im posting in here rather than starting a new thread i know how it annoys people.

I am looking to purchase a 2002 base model RSX with auto tranny. What i want to know is can I swap in the TSX motor without any mods or headaches? Basically is it a straight forward bolt on install?
