Default 06-08 k24a2 vs JDM k24a

Does anyone know if there is a version of a JDM k24a that is identical internally to the 06-08 tsx k24a2? I'm going to be swapping this into a 91 Miata using KMiata parts, so the manifolds and stuff on the outside don't really matter. I mainly need to know about the piston reliefs and valve clearance. The KMiata guys offer an ECU with a tune that is designed around using a 50° vtc gear and I need an engine that won't have any valve clearance issues with this. It's looking much easier to find low mileage JDM k24a engines for a decent price, so I'm just wondering if there are any that would work for my application.

Japan has the same variations of the k24 that we do. They're all marked k24a. The only way to tell which one you're getting is to pop the valve cover and inspect the cams.
