1997 JDM CRV Rpm and speedometer going crazy!
First of all this is my first time posting on a forum haha so bear with me.
I have a 1997 JDM C-RV 102xxx kms on it. B20B. Recently the RPM gauge has been going crazy, mostly when driving when given 1/4 or 1/2 throttle. It will jump everywhere from 0 to 7000, and the car stutters very hard when this is happening. Recently took it to a local mechanic to take a look at it, they replaced dizzy coil and icm and adjusted timing. Also replaced timing belt and adjusted valves. Problem still there. I took it on the highway the other day because I had to go out of town for an appointment and about 15 mins into my trip the RPM gauge started to act up again and car began to stutter and lose speed. This time the speedo started to jump around also. Not sure where to look next, need the car working good for my move that is coming up soon.
Note: This does not always happen! I have driven around for for hours before without anything going wrong. But when I drive it the next day it will doing what is described above.
Recent work done: cap and rotor, plugs and wires, new radiator, and block heater installed. Along with maint mentioned above.
