Hey everyone im currently in the middle of an h23a ek swap. Using a p73 ecu and when key is turned the engine light wont come on and fuel pump wont prime or turn on at all. Anyone know whats going on? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Check fuses. Swap out the main relay for a known working unit. Try a different computer. Is it cranking? What kind of injectors are you running?

Ecu and fuel pump fuses are good and i tested the relay and it seems to be working. I tried my stock y7 ecu and that didn't change anything. It cranks and i have spark but still no engine light. And pretty sure they're just stock injectors.

Not 100% sure for an H23A, but I know on D and B engines there's a ground strap on the thermostat housing that's often left off by mistake during the swap. If that ground isn't present you'll get identical symptoms to what you're describing.

what yr civic? what yr ecu? what jumper harness? What engine harness? what modifications to the engine harness?

I was thinking it was some sort of ground issue. Ill look at that as soon as i can thanks!
and its a 2000 civic and i dont know the exact year of the ecu but its 97+ with a custom harness

Custom harness? Is that the ECU adapter?

There is no adapter. The harness plugs right in.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the OBD2 p73 ECU have a immobilizer/transponder unit in it?

OBD-2 / Immobilizer Bypass | .: FF CHIPS :.

I would try a different ECU to see if that will crank the engine... preferably something OBD1 that requires a jumper harness.

The engine cranks and gets spark but no fuel.
i have tried 4 different ecus at this point including a p28 and im starting to think its something with the harness.

Problem was i was trying to use an obd2a harness in an obd2b car. As soon as i got a new harness it fired right up

Hey man I know this doesn't help you but I'm wondering what axles you used because I'm doing an H23a swap in my ek as well and I'm in trouble. I ordered new axles from procivic.com I ordered an intermediate shaft and it didn't come with the carrier or carrier bearing am I able to buy that separate somewhere? Or do I have to buy a whole new half shaft? And if I do what is it because idk what to use now that I ran into this problem

You should be able to find just the carrier online somewhere. You could always go to a honda dealer and get an oem one or go to a junkyard and get a used one.
I bought the yonaka swap axles and they work great.

I think your problem could be a bad tune or the wire tuck has some loose ends to fix. I hope you labelled them before making any changes.
