Default Stock B20B Chipping/Tuning ?

1995 Civic EX coupe with JDM B20B swap. Integra LS manual transmission.

I recently purchased this car and plan to keep engine n/a stock. Wondering if it can be chipped/tuned for increase in hp/torque?

Have you driven the car yet? I have a 97 Civic EX. I just got a B20B and currently looking at transmissions either LS or GSR still debating. Looking for some input.

The seller told me it has an LS (manual) transmission and he installed a new Exedy flywheel and clutch kit. It shifts smooth and the B20B has nice torque across the entire powerband. It's not going to pin you back to your seat but, it is much ballsier than a D16..great for a daily driver.

Ditch the LS transmission and swap in a B16/GSR/ITR tranny, it will really wake the engine up. And yes, even the stock B20s benefit from tuning, they respond well, get yourself a P28 ECU with Hondata. I made around 145 wheel hp on a stock B20 with bolt ons.

as noted above, yes it can be chipped and should get a tune if possible as no obd1 stock ecu does a perfect job . ( the stock P75 ecu leans out in higher RPMS ) What ecu do you currently have .

You can go the hondata/neptune route , or have a tuner tune it and burn a chip for you . ( cheaper option to start off with ) .

Thanks for the replies. The LS that's in it seems fine to me and I have no intention of going through the expense and work to replace until/unless it fails.
It is an OBD1 and good to hear chipping/tuning it can get more hp (and hopefully torque) out of it.
