Default Simple F2b build

Well i started this build some time back i figured i would show case my work
It all started with a beat up 95 hatch i got for 800$ I had first started with B16 then i wanted more i built the B16 with type R cams and ctr pistons. That was still not pleasing me so looked in to k20/k24 engines. That swap just did not apeal to me due to the fact of the Price/HP. A guy around where i lives crushes cars and had 3 f22b1 engines i could get for 150$ each. i had read about Bisi and had found other peoble making good power on f22 engines. A friend of mine had a zex dry kit for 150$. So i did some research I found alot of 300+ whp 300 tq on stock internals Turbo and some 250 whp 250 wtq N20. So i decided to go with the engines. I got the F2B kit by bisimoto. So now the Story Starts a new Chapter With a F2B and a bottle from ZEX. Also i would like to thank Matt Jones and Abrem Bennett for all ther help and long nights.Still not done

What i started with

I do ever thing my self so i got a paint gun and came out with this i felt it was good for not having and idea how to paint and a b16

My shop

Now to the f22

Is this normal or do i have it wrong

will have more this week got the plate on and tranny on just no pics

looking good. you need a timing spacer/shield to keep the belt from sliding off...in stock form the balancer pulley would hold it, but since it was eliminated the belt will slide off w/o having something to hold it.

What's the clearance like with the F compared to the H on the pulley side. I haven't seen too many pictures of the f2b's.

I meant pulley not flywheel side.

this engine has more room in the engine bay than my b16 did. other than the hood, but you can work on every thing much easier. I love the way that it sits in there. it looks like a d15. i will get you some pics of all the clearance areas but i will tell you that i was amazed at the clearance the engine a tranny had. It was not very hard to get in went in very easy just as if it was stock. the b16 dizzy bolted up to it also only one bolt would not work.so i used all my civic wiring harness. i will get some pics up i been so much working so much to get the engine going and have a new born. i just cant get time to go get some batteries so my camera will load the pics.

well i got some more pics i ran the car on the street. It pulls good i sprayed it with a 50 shot one time so far so good. runs about like my friend stock b20/vtec. much cheaper if it blows i am taking it to the 1/8th mile drag strip next week. hope to run a 8 second pass with some old nitto 555 i have. i will try to work my way up to a 100 shot. hope to make some videos and put on youtube. i would wonder what kinda times it will run with n2o. i am tuning it with crome and a p28. it runs very well with the p28. i used a b16 dizzy bolted up almost perfect with one bolt not working. i got a turbonetic 57 trim t3/t4 i am going to put on it over the winter with some 880cc injectors. i guess i will make a turbo manifold myself since i cant find one to fit. trying to get all the wiring cleadned up better. by the way i had to take some time off the project the wife had a baby boy info for all that wanted to see more pics and stuff.

i have been talking to bisi, that is why i went with a f22, i have 2 h22 laying around the shop that i could of used. Bisi has told me the head flow of the novtec f22a head is about as good as other ported head. i am going to get a f22a head and put it on there over the winter. I will also get his reground turbo cams.

Im going to be trying to go the same route when i get a new chassis. Looking for a 94+ integra or a civic coupe/sedan. I want to do the f22a w/ gsr trans and boost. Have you looked into using a 1st/2nd gen dsm manifold and turbo? I was told the dsm manifold fits on the f22a with little to no modification. So that may be an idea for you.

yes from every thing that i have read the dsm manifold bolts up. i have on around the shop i will let you know for sure.just got to get a head first. a friend of mine took one out of his girls car that had low compression so i will pick up a complete f22 with low compression for 50 bucks worth it to me for the head.

If you hadn't found a head already I would have gave you mine for free that came out of a wrecked 2000 accord.. all you would have to do if pay for shipping..... the valve cover was cracked from the accident but I will send the exhuast manifold also its better than the one you got but won't matter if your gonna turbo it.. its from a f23 non vtec just sitting junk from my build because i got a jdm h22 for my f23 block.. so let me know if you want that i would love to contribute just to see this project run and to see what stock internals can handle... I want to n2o my car but im not sure how much the stock internals of the f23 can handle this would be something good for me to see if you wanna test it.... let me know

Congrats on tha baby boy I got one on the way too

i will tell you this engine feels as if it loves the nitrous and tuning. the more i tune on the engine the better it feels. then when i spray it my god it will kill my stock b16 turbo. i will know for sure when i go the the strip this weekend if its fast or not.

I think this engine is great, probably has the most low end torque of all honda 4 cylinder motors until you hit the K series.

Ash, i asked you in another thread, but i gotta know.. does the hood close without a gap?

no but it would i think the only thing that hits hood is the map sensor. if i took the map off and put on my b16 throttle body it would work. since the b16 one i have map does not bolt to the TB. Also you could cut out the hood bracing. but with little work it would close all the way. i am using the evolution bisi kit sure you could see that.
