Dizzy option?

I'm nearing completion of my swap...to start up.
95 Gsr vtec in my 90 Integra LS.
Part of the conversion harness was the jumper to go from my obd0 engine harness to the obd1 dizzy that came with the engine.
What's the advantage or necessity, of the obd1 dizzy? Everything in my obd0 dizzy is new, and I have no idea if the guts of the dizzy that came with the gsr engine is good, so-so or poor.
So is there something in the obd0 dizzy that the P72 ecu won't work with?

...in my room with the OBD1 dizzy in my lap. I don't have them side by side, but I don't think they mount the same...holes are different.
This one's cap is badly pitted, I either have to file or sand it, or get one from Napa or AZone. I don't like that, but I'm not going to wait a week to ship one. I can get own or a good one later.

It's weirder than that. I brought in my A1 dizzy for comparison....and then remembered when I took off the C1 dizzy, it has one connector. I didn't think about it more then half a second.
Now I'm nearly done and haven't looked at it till now. It has one, 10-pin connector.
What? On an engine clealy marked only "B18C"? 10-pin, is that OBD2?

The OBD0 CKP only has 16 teeth on the reluctor wheel while all later distributors have 24, so you will not be using your OBD0 no matter what plug is on it. Post a picture of your GSR distributor, I’m not sure I understand what you are describing.

OP, you are describing an OBD-2A style single grey plug. It has nine wires in it... and one open space that is unused totaling ten. It is easy to create an adapter plug that converts your OBD-0 engine harness dizzy plug to the OBD-2A dizzy plug style you want to use.

Here's the dizzy that came on the engine. The engine is marked with "B18C", no 1, 2, 3....and the head in a circle is shows "96" and larger, P72.
Yes, 9 wires. To the left, I stripped the plug on the harness that came with this engine to get a good look at the color codes.
In the various Acura online catalogs I see this distributor....under '96 Gsr.
Clearly 2 connectors.
The only place I have found the distributor I have, is in the Honda catalogs under '96 and above Civics.
If it works, I'm fine with that. I'm not at the moment, wanting to spend 3-500 bucks outfitting another one.
What I need to do, if this one works from my engine is get whatever parts for it I need. One being a cap and rotor....pretty pitted. I need to identify it. The dizzy I have, may have more parts available then the one under '96 Gsr.
You can actually still buy the one for the Civic, but not the one for the Gsr.
