Hey guys,

I saw the stickied thread, but it doesn't say anything about manual into auto.

I have an OBD1 GSR with 5 speed manual tranny and an OBD1 P72.

I will be swapping the GSR into my OBD2B Automatic LS.


Can I use the OBD2B automatic wire harness from the LS and swap over all the OBD2 parts then run the OBD1 P72 ECU? (injectors, dizzy, etc)

I know I will need the jumper harness for the plug from OBD2B to OBD1 ECU, and need to wire-up vtec, etc.


OR

Should I use an OBD1 harness, and would it work with the automatic OBD2B tower harness?


Lastly, I want to buy the vtec conversion harness, should I buy one for OBD1 or OBD2 with which of the above scenarios?

You can use the OBD1 harness fine and it will plug and play fine. You'll just have some left over connectors for the auto portions. Then you'll just need to wire in VTEC, knock and the IAB's manually using an OBD1 subharness.
