no oil light after replacing oil pump
My oil light is still on. I just replaced my gsr oil pump with a type-r one. I cleaned my oil pickup and my oil pan is free of dents. There is no v-tec so its obvious its the oil pressure. Im not losing oil either, the oil level is fine. If my vtec isnt hitting wouldnt I throw a cel code 22? Im just wandering what else in the engine has to do with oil pressure? Any help is appreciated.

I thought the oil pressure sending unit is not connected to the ecu? Good or bad unit I should have vtec with the right oil pressure?

Grab a pressure gauge and T it to the oil pressure sending unit. If I remember correctly, you should have at least 5 psi at idle, and a minimum of 40 psi above 2,000 RPM.
