multi code help/ limp mode
Ok i will try and post all pert info.
Car is 92 dx hatch (was auto)
Stock b series obd1 harness (un cut/altered)
Stock cabin harness minus srs removed
Auto shifter plug jumped to show in "P" and have rev lights
Does have manual 5spd cluster so obvously 2 plugs( small green and yellow srs i belive) used in auto cluster wont plug into 5spd cluster
I am getting codes 7/10/14
I know what the codes are and all are OG sensors to motor when it came out of last car RUNNING. I have tried 5 known good ecu's, 2tps(set voltage correct per honda), brand new oem iat, and iac i dont care about at this time.
But car still goes into limp mode and will not rev past about 2800rpms give or take. It does get to rpm limit with ease. Timing is bang on, nothing really messed with on car other than above mentioned
Any ideas out there in honda land i have not thought of, and plz refrain from dumb ?'s like is there oil, yes all mechanical is as it should, i am an ase tech and i have been doing hondas for over 5yrs and never came across this

Re: multi code help/ limp mode
ok so car is now out of limp mode and only throwing 1 code (10 IAT)<-- not HUGe deal by its self. but i have other issues now.
car runs like complete A@@. stumbles, will only drive with a FRACTION of throttle, any more that that it cuts out, breaks up, misses, no power. all timing is correct (checked 3x), all plugs wires new, nothing seems out of wack that i can pin point, all plugs for sensors are correct.
help plz

Re: multi code help/ limp mode
iat sensor actually affects the performance of the engine. It needs to know the outside temp in order to determine how much fuel to use. Fix all the cels before attempting to "fix" anything else.
Check that it has its 5volt reference. Check to make sure it has a ground. Check it both at the plug and at the ecu.

Re: multi code help/ limp mode
^ did that yesterday also made sure it was operating properly with temp vs ohms, .3 ohms at highest temp i could make with fingers, wierd thing was i only got 2.4v from plug but only 1ohm rrom sensor to ecu, ground was 2ohms iirc, what would cause low voltage ecu? Tried po6 ecu just to see if voltage changed and had all same #'s.
I am pretty sure that i have fig majority of my prob is fuel related to poor drivablity, car sat for 2yrs + during build time, and the fuel tank got nasty (i did clean very well water/shop vac, and yes all water is out, i also put fresh gas in) but i think inj got nasty before we cleaned tank and fuel pump sock came off some how, will be doing inj testing today after work.

Re: multi code help/ limp mode
Ok another update, got ait to go away buy finding out internal prob on ground side with sonsor put new oem one one fixed, still have fuel issues but pretty much narrowed down to dying fuel pump (oem) due to fuel psi dropping by 20-25psi under accel/higher demand Parked reving. So i seems to have a fuel volume issues
