I dont know I heard a D15 non VTEC can beat a H22 ! J/K I say H22 and I have everyday expereince with both. Well its actually a poor mans type R. Both cars are good low 13 sec cars. But both are not stock. Comparing set-ups between the 2 in stock form, the H is going to take it all day. It all comes down to what he wants.

ahhh... not true.... I say that if your not affraid to cut metal, you should't be affraid to weld metal. If you take care when you cut or remove you passenger side mount, you can always put it back on. as for the hole where the shift selector goes, thats another story

dont get the H22 they suck *** and ruins your handling. If more people buy the H22 its gonna drive the price up so please get the ls/vtec. Stock for stock h22 wins hands down.

Im ls vtec and loving it. h22 hatch will beat me, however mine is in a DA. weight obviously a factor. anyways to my point stock for stock h22 kicks ***. however if you look at the motor for pontential b-series all the way. ESPECIALLY LS VTEC

if you did the same amount of work to an H22 as you did while building an LS-Vtec motor, i.e. pistons, cams, I/H/E and a tuning, the h22 is still gonna hand an ls/vtec its ***

thats right.....gotta love the big blocks...and dont even mention stroking and boring the b series, because you can just as easily bor e and stroke a h series to a 2.4L

If your friend is willing to build an ls/vtec then he might as well build an h23 vtec or some f/h combo that will produce even more torque than an h22...

or just go LS-vtec so demand for h22 goes down even more so the rest of us can get parts for even cheaper

what 200hp b-series swap can you get for $2300

Ive never heard of an ls/vtec hatch take an h22 hatch. Its would not even make sense since the H22 has more hp+torque than an ls/vtec to begin with. If u want your ls/vtec just get it, but stay away from any h22 hatch....including mine

what why wouldnt u go with the ls vtec its cheaper if u build it up right u will spend about the same money i think the ls vtec will win i no a guy wit a h22a coupe and my friend beat him in a 240 (runs 13.9 @100) i think there to heavy will be shitty in auto cross or any road racing and braking dis will go down so put that h22 in and go undrsteer into a pole + to much body work with the mounts

I'm glad you wasted your first post on making such a nonsensical comment.

I love h-t.

My h-series makes more tq than most ls/vtecs make hp. I run 14.0 in a 2700lb car. I'd be surprised if any ls/vtec can run 14.5 in a 2700lb car, with slicks.
