Default LS/VTEC build up in EF sedan

ok, dont know if anyone remembers the july 2000 issue of super street where they had a run down of a basic LS/VTEC build up. I have that issue and currently I am in the midst of doing an LS/VTEC build up. I have the list of parts that are in the magazine...LS motor, B16 head, and so on. MY question is what other parts would I need? I dont want the motor to blow on me. I have a good knowledge of engines so I am doing the build up myself. I was also wondering if anyone had a good run-down (step-by-step) of what to do when doing an LS/VTEC. I dont wanna cut any corners and I might be getting it balanced too just so that I can rev it high.

Anyone have instructions or good helpful hints in building this motor? Also to the people who have done the LS/VTEC conversion themselves...can you give me a run down of all the parts necessary for the job?
