Putting in the motor is actually quite easy? Took me and my friends.... 40 min tops to have to motor bolted in?! And as far as wiring goes get the Helms for both the Civic and the Lude... ANd then contact "Poision" he is Very good o n the wiring.
Here is a little pics of the install....

you have to tilt the engine , transmission side lower than the crank side. once the transmission and the crank is under the frame rail, put it on a jack on bothside then you can now raise it up "evenly" both side. as far as vtec wiring, theres only 1 wire to the ecu ...theres a vtec oil pressure wire too, dont forget that. good luck

explain more of your situation. what wiring you have done (if any), what mount kit you are using, the model EK you have, what wiring harness you are using, etc.
then I'll explain the next step.
edit - btw, do the wiring before you put the motor in.
when you put the motor in, do the rear mount first, then driver side, then tranny mount.

Depending on the mount kit..... when using the HCP mount kit, bolt the rear mount to the rear subframe, and use the 92-96 rear Prelude tranny bracket (US or JDM will work, same ****... but make sure it's from a Prelude, and not an Accord SiR). Raise the car up, slide the H22 underneath the chassis, lower the car so the nose touches the ground and will allow the motor to look tilted back. Then move the motor into position and bolt the rear mount to the bracket. Once you get that in, jack the car & motor up and get the side mounts in. Once you have them all in, then torque all of them down but not until you have all of the mounts on.
As for electrical, I have OBD-2 to OBD-1 wiring diagrams (if you're running OBD-2) or have other **** to use... same with Poison so you can PM either one of us
