Re: F20B FAQ (SMSP)
How much smaller are the valves on these? Would 1mm oversized make up the difference like a normal H22 Valve.
Or would this block with a H22 head make a good combo with the F20B cams and H22 Intake manifold/Throttle body?
Are the H22 and F20 heads same combustion chamber specs that the compression ratio would stay the same if the heads were swapped?
I know the cc size of an H22 is 87mm are the F20 85 or 86mm?
Maybe the F20B head would make a great head for the F23block/H head - G23 build.
Sorry for alot of questions but this is good thread.

Re: F20B FAQ (jdm.ejone)
so the f20b timing belt has 156 teeth and the h22 has 155. Using a H22 is fine? It won't throw the timing off or slip off? Noob to this trying to do an f2b swap.

Its a little different. Honda blocks are almost all open deck blocks. This means the sleeves "float" in coolant. When you sleeve you not only use iron but they reinforce the cylinder in the quench area. Ive seen 20+psi on stock sleeves but I wouldn't do it personally.

I would consider it an H and only parts that would be like an F would be in the bottom end. Mounts and complete head are like the H.

Re: F20B FAQ (HeikDiesel)
So if the f20b is one tooth longer. What belt do you use when you convert to manual tension? Wouldn't you use a h23 timeing belt there shouldn't be anything special about the way its made or material? And what is the length of a h23 belt? since its not posted yet?

h23 and h22 are the same. The one tooth shorter wont hurt you. Everyone I know that did a manual on their f20b used a h22 belt and hasnt had a problem
