B18cr swap in 99 civic coupe, need help.
Ok, so I just did a swap in my coupe (obd2b) with a 97 spec b18c-r (obd2a) I was able to start the car for about an hour to check for any overheating and what not. The next day while I was waiting on my throttle cable I put my front 2 mounts on (lower ones, tranny and ac). I changed the oil and started the car again. It ran for about 30 secs or so, I hit the throttle 2 times and the car died. I have not been able to start the car since. One thing I do notice is that I do not hear my fuel pump priming. Here are the tings I have done so far:
Changed the main relay
Upgraded the stock fuel pump to aem 320
Checked the thermostat ground
Check all related fuses under dash and engine bay,all good
I have no CEL.
What kills me is that ithe did run but now nothing. I'm thinking that it only ran because fuel was in the line. But not sure just taking a guess. Any help would be better than where I stuck at right now. Thanks in advance. Josh

So, I'm an idiot with the fuel pump, swap it out and forgot to plug it back in. Now the fuel pump primes but still not starting.

Do you have spark?
Throw a bit of WD-40 through the throttle and try to start the car. If it does start then it is not getting fuel. If does not start, maybe the problem is not fuel. Its not the perfect test but for me does work.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO CAUSE A FIRE.
Check if you connect the pump correctly. If + and - are where they should be and not inverted

Still looking for assistance. What I've done so for is the tip above, still didn't start. Checked the timing belt, Still intact. I will be swapping the Dizzy and plugs from my D16y8 (since I know that dizzy works and the cables are new) to look at that route.

Wow, thanks for the great tips, the engine harness is from a d16y8. so I rebuilt the distributor last night and changed the plug cables. Now the car starts, but not with the key. Key gets turned on to the on position and I just it from the battery to the starter signal terminal. Because when I took a multi meter to it, it only recieves 4v when trying to start. I know it's supposed to receiving 12v. But I am happy that it started and it runs. I have not driven it yet because I still need to bleed the clutch. I will also run through the advice given, tranny ground? I'll look into that as well, I want to figure out the starting issue. I just printed a wiring diagram, and gonna give that a go around. Thanks again eveybody. I'll keep it updated with what I find, just in case someone has the same problem. Keep the tips coming, just in case nothing works.

So... just to put an end to this thread I will let you guys where my issue was.like stated above, I stripped the guts of my d16y8 dizzy and put it in the p73 dizzy, with new cables. That got me spark. Now printed wiring diagrams and stated to trace the started signal back to the ignition with my fluke. 4v all the way to under the dash, untill..............I came across an aftermarket car alarm. Which I had no idea.(I bought the car from an auto auction for 1500.) When I went from the ignition to the alarm rat nest of wires it was 12v. Winner winner mo fkn chicken dinner. The car alarm put itself into an anti theft mode when I reconnected everything with the new swap. Fml. I guess it was a learning experience. Thanks H-T for all ur PM's and replies to the thread.
