B18C1 into VX wiring evap purge control solenoid
This thread is to end all of the confusion about wiring a USDM b18C1 into a VX civic using the VX shock tower harness connected to the GSR engine harness.
WIRING A 1995 OBD1 B18C1 INTO A 1994 VX CIVIC USING A USDM P72 ECU
LOCATE THE 6 PIN PLUG BELOW ON THE PASS. SIDE VX SHOCK TOWER
The wires are in the following order:
ORG/BLU BLU/GRN WHT/BLK
BLU/YEL WHT/BLU YEL/WHT
REMOVE THE FOLLOWING WIRES FROM THE 6 PIN VX PLUG
ORG/BLU - O2 SENSOR
BLU/YEL - KNOCK SENSOR
LOCATE THE 10 PIN PLUG PICTURED BELOW THAT IS ON THE VX SHOCK TOWER
The wires are in the following order:
BRN/BLK EMPTY BLK/RED
ORG WHT ORG/BLU WHT/BLU
BLU/GRN BLU/YEL EMPTY
REMOVE THE RUBBER PLUG FROM THE TWO UNUSED SOCKETS
INSERT THE ORG/BLU (O2 SENSOR) WIRE INTO THE SOCKET BETWEEN THE BRN/BLK WIRE AND THE BLK/RED WIRE. (TOP CENTER SOCKET IN PIC)
INSERT THE BLU/YEL (KNOCK SENSOR) WIRE INTO THE SOCKET NEXT TO THE OTHER BLU/YEL WIRE. (BOTTOM RIGHT SOCKET IN PIC)
NOTE - IF YOU ARE USING A CHIPPED P28 ECU YOU WILL NOT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT WIRING UP THE KNOCK SENSOR
YOUR NEXT STEP IS TO MOVE THE RED WIRE ON YOUR ECU HARNESS FROM A20 TO A17 FOR YOUR SECONDARY RUNNERS FOR YOUR INTAKE MANIFOLD. THEY SHOULD OPERATE AS SEEN HERE .
ALL YOU HAVE LEFT YOU DO IS PLUG IN YOUR ECU AND PLUG THE 3 VX SHOCK TOWER HARNESSES INTO THE GSR MOTOR HARNESSES.
If you have any questions PM me.

So dwnthehatch PM'd me a link to his thread. I understand exactly what he is saying to do here.
What I'm wondering is what happens to the Evap purge control solenoid (A20) since that red wire was moved to A17?
From the P72 ecu pinout guides I've looked at it looks like all civic/integra use the A20 slot. Is this a requirement to run the engine properly?

Re: B18C1 into VX wiring evap purge control solenoid
On both the Civic and Integra C117 is the Purge Cut-off Solenoid Valve (EVAP) and contains two wires (RED and YEL/BLK)
With the Civic, C117 becomes part of C126 on the driver's side engine harness through C126.
With the Integra, C117 becomes C104 on the passenger's side engine harness.
Switching A20 (RED wire for C117 on Civic) to A17 (PNK/BLU wire on GSR) the IAB is wired to the driver's side engine harness.
The six pin connector on the passenger side VX C211 becomes a 4 pin after removing the 2 pins as described above.
The VX 6 pin C211 connects to the GSR 2 pin C104.
My guess, not having done this swap yet, is the the 2 pin C104 will match up with the 2 blank ports of the 6 pin C211 on the VX cabin harness.
One of those pins on the VX C211 side runs to D16 which is exclusive to the VX and, I imagine, can be moved to A20 on the ECU and repinned to the RED wire on C104. That still leaves the YEL/BLK wire which is what should power the solenoid.
The problem then becomes how to wire up the YEL/BLK with the rest of the harness? B1 on the OBD1 ECU is the YEL/BLK wire, but it can't just simply be moved.
Does anyone have the last pages of the 1994 or 1995 Integra Helms FSM? I'm specifically looking for the "Fuel-Injected System Diagram" and "Fuel-Injected System Connectors".
I have downloaded the FSM from HH, but it doesn't contain those pages.

Just curious, do you live in a state where they'd check for it? If not just delete it as it won't throw an engine code and doesn't affect engine operation.
