this is out of desperation basically, i go to start car and it cranks at a normal speed but doesnt want to fire up. it was sounding like it a bit for a minute. sounded like something came out the exaust pipe for a quick second. checked for spark and its good,checked for fuel and there is fuel at the filter and at the injectors aswell, i checked the spark plugs and they smell like gas a bit but they are not drenched or anything.also looks like the top of the pistons are a little bit wet with gas so im sure the injectors are firing, not to sure if its to lean or not??

only CEL code coming up is this 26...i turn the key to ON and the engine light comes on when the ecu powers up and then it goes out and it goes...6 quick flashes and then 2 long ones, then it goes 6 quick and 2 long and so on and so on and it keeps going, i unplugged the vtec oil pressure switch to see if it would throw a CEL correctly for that and it did, it threw a 22, two long flashes and then 2 quick flashes, so i know its working. i have a obd1 conversion harness with a chipped obd1 ecu running from a obd harness. im very confused as to whats going on here, this engine is a jdm b18c 96-97 with h/i/e, no a/c or p/s.i soldered all my wires up and im using no resistor box with the injectors that came with the engine,im using the obd2 dizzy rewired from obd-obd1-2.the fuel pump works fine and the battery is good. im stumped here can someone try and help me out on this..i just want to get the thing running here!!

p.s you can check the obd1 cel codes to, there is NO trouble code 26 in the list, i looked at about 20 lists here on the net and no 26 at all. for some reason i am suspecting a fuel issue because there should be more gas on the plugs and in the chamber ect, but fuel injector cel code is 16 and its not throwing a 16 , its definitly a 26. i tryed it like 10 times to make sure..
