my question is, If i expand that little ring and it does hold, There must be something else that is getting the stress. The axle is falling out for a reason.... Weather it be it being too short or whatever. I know that if i expand the snap riung somthing else is gonna be recieveing hte stress..

Expanding the snap ring is only a temporary fix. It will not solve the problem. The axle spline is just too short.

I had it poping out every few minutes of driving. I expanded the snap ring and it solved the problem for about 4-5 months. It would pop out every week or so and got back to the point where almost twice a day.

You need to replace the upper joint with one from an h22a.

No different. But you'd be suprised how many people don't understand when you tell them on the phone "90-93" (the way it sounds when you say it) as to 90-91 or even just say "90 Integra axles"

Same when I talk about 86-89 Integra axles. I'll usually just say 89 Integra axles or say "88-89" to get the info passed along.

Newman...Have you heard of anyone having problems with the steering wheel vibrating rather excessively when accelerating at freeway speeds? I just had my wheels / tires balanced and my alignment done yet my EG's steering wheel still vibrates rather wildly while accelerating at speeds above 65-70 mph. When I take my foot of the gas the vibration goes away.

A friend of mine who works at wheelworks said it could be the axle's that's causing this. Can I get your opinion on this?

This is on a H22 EG with Prelude shaft, inners with 89 integra axle on driver, 91 integra axle on passenger.

Thanks in advance.

all applications may have slight differences...

89 driver 90 pass for teg..with no issues for almost a year now with a **** load of pressure on the axles

May be different when i drop the car about 1.5 inches in the near future

Default Re: best axles??

So this is my first post....but i've been reading for a while. I've read about all the different axle combinations that can be used with the h22 swap, and they sound pretty good.

What i want to know is.....if money was no object, which axle setup would be the most trouble-free?? When I do my h22 swap, I would like to do everything right the first time. As of now, I'm leaning towards using the prelude int. shaft and dss axles. what do you guys think? Not considering cost.....would this be the best choice?

I know that others have said that different axle combinations work better for different cars........my question is just a general one. I know that all cars are different.

by the way....i have a 95 del sol si. dropped about 2.25" on H&R race springs and tokiko blues. I have a skunk2 camber kit.

thanks.

would i be able to use my 97 h22a4 intermediate shaft and 88-89 teg axles with prelude inners, or would that axle combo only work with the 92-96 int shaft?

So is the 90-93 accord Half shaft the same as the 92-96 prelude one ?

I'm going to try using 88-89 integra axles with 92-96 prelude inners with the half shaft from a 92-96 prelude , 92-96 prelude rear steel tranny mount, and HCP Mounts. in my 92 civic vx hatch, Does it sound like a good conbination and my car is lower roughly 2.5" -3" drop.

Help!!! I bought swap axles (ABC Driveshaft) off of ebay that were supposed to fit 92-95 Civic with the H22 swap. The drivers side is binding while going in a straight line. It seems like it is 3/8" too long. Im not sure if the intermediate shaft is from a prelude either. I also have my car lowered 1.5 inches with no camber kit. What should I do?

These are the mounts I am referring to. They haven't been on ebay too long. I wonder if they are modeled closer to Hasport or Hcp? I guess they're called Innovative Mounts.

These are the axles I am referring to. Looks like they have pretty good feedback but I wonder if anyone with an ek had good success?
