*POLL* b18c or b18cR in 92-95 civic CA/BAR/Ref
Hey was wondering what everyone's opinion is on these possible swaps with dealing with CA Ref/Bar and being legit.
Vehicle : 92-95 Honda civic
Engine Options :
-obd1 b18c/gsr
-obd2 B18c/r
i think what it ultimately comes down to, is it worth the extra cash/work (ie Usdm oil pump, lower timing belt cover, finding a usdm p73, conversion harness, wiring in dlc port, etc etc etc) for the obd2 Itr engine to be CA legal in a obd1 civic chassis compared to the Gsr obd1-obd1 compliance?
Have not seen someone Bar a obd2 itr engine in a obd1 Civic chassis.

Either go OBD1 GSR or K type S swap.
Literally no point in the R swap if you are planning on passing BAR with it, more hassle than it's worth.
With a K swap there would be more up front costs, but you'd be ahead of a B swap after K pro and bolt-ons.

Thanks for the reply man.
after sleeping on it i think you are correct, its more hassle than its worth.
Going with the obd1 b18c longblock than will be scouting a itr trans in the future
