h22a gear ratios
Incase anyone wanted to know, I pulled the stock gear ratios for a 93 h22a tranny (m2f4 i think is the code).
1. 3.307
2. 1.950
3. 1.360
4. 1.071
5. .87
Final Diff. 4.266
With a nearly stock size tire and rim diameter (23in.) and a redline of 8000rpm you will hit these maximum speeds in each gear.
1. 39mph
2. 66mph
3. 94mph
4. 120mph
5. 148mph

So I am lookin at my motor and the harness isnt even cut! But I dont see a resistor box anywhere, what do I do? Oh, and do I need a different alternator belt? The one it came with looks a little big, like it powered the AC too. Thanks!!!

It should be by the intake manifold part of the harness. If it is not there, call the person that you got the swap from and tell them. They will most likely send you one if you say it is not there.

If you do not want A/C, you need Belt No. 25-060370.

im gonna be doing an H22 swap into my EG, but before i install it im buying an MSD SCI, externial coil, cap rotor and wires, will i still have to do the externial coil conversion? i thought the H22's already came with an external coil?

USDM = External coil
JDM = Internal coil

It matters what swap you get.
JDM = Same as wiring up a external coil on a B/D series
USDM = Same as wiring up an aftermarket coil on a Prelude

God yes, you do everything but the resistor box. It is not hard to solder it on the car.

Re: (turbogixxer)
So then technically I cannot use the resister box I have on hand! What do you mean "solder it in"?

What one would that be (what car is it from)? Basicly, all Honda resistor boxes are the same.

Solder is a way to join two wires. It is like a weld. I would only solder the wires on your harness because it is the best way to have a connection. If you use butt connector or other ways, you have a chance of not getting a good connection or have the connection fell off (aka, wires fell apart from each other).
