S2000 Sub+Amp= check out pics.
well the '02 S2000's come with a slightly upgraded stereo over the '00-'01, but it still sucks. but hey, what more can us ask for from honda...so to keep from blowin up the factory speakers and to hear the bass when the top is down i suprised my pops (yeah its my dads car, but i use it like its mine as well. i did the system mostly for me, but he appreciates the bass too! ) by installing...
-Rockford Fosgate 10'' Punch HE 4ohm sub. (400 watts max/200 watts rms)
-Truck Sub box (speaker is upside down because its too deep to sit in the box )
-Rockford Fosgate 150S Amp (2channel = 150watts max)
they complement each other quite well since the Amp puts out a tested 197watts max and the Sub can hold 200 rms. i had a Punch Z (150 watts rms) and this little amp blew it in like 1 week!! well here are the pics. all of the wires for the amp are underneath the flooring and are mostly stuck behind the wall panel where the spare tire is. the rca for the amp comes from a hi lo converter i installed behind the factory radio. the amp is at a little less than half way volume and sounds great, i would recommend these products to anyone looking to get a little bass. not earth shattering bass, but more than loud enough for the s2000. enjoy! i will!

wow u guys are supportive. i guess if u knew how much space was actually in the S2000 trunk, you would appreciate the "crappy effecieny" sorry for the quality being a little less than "hot import nights" worthy - performance over looks guys. remember that.... i dont ride around with my trunk open showing this stuff off....
-doesnt look good, but doesnt weigh very much
-doesnt look good, but can be removed when its necessary to access jack/tools
-doesnt look good, but does not eliminate jack/tools
-doesnt look good, but i did it myself, and i aint no audio expert and i sure as hell dont know how to use any kinda fiberglass or make any kinda paneling.....
-doesnt look good, cuz the damn speaker is upside down cuz it cant fit the right way until i shave like 1/2'' off the bottom of the box. ill get it to fit right and post some new pics.

This enclosure will look a kazillion times better than the one you rigged up. It will also provide you with a subwoofer 10x better than the one you have.
10W3v2 - 300wRMS @ 6ohm. Its a ****** amazing subwoofer!!! Give the sub atleast 250wRMS... PLEASE NO LESS THAN THAT, and it will bump like a fudger.
You did mad good work that i could never do with the current setup you have. But it you want that stealth slick look that will just look professional and factory, than go with the JL Audio Stealthbox. The quality is unsurpassed. I put my money on it.
Mad props to you for your work. Look into this though, you wont be dissapointed!

even with the speaker upside down in the box, it still hits. it sounds great, but you can tell its in the trunk...the way the sound travels towards the front, it doesnt match up exactly with the sound coming from the factory speakers, which like u said, are in horrible positions and make for crappy imaging (your leg blocks the damn sound. lol) but again it sounds great and the sound does make it up to the cockpit.

get that spare outta there man.. Im sure you have sum buddies that will bail ya out if you get a flat.. So dont worry , also .. you might want to check the rear light housing as they are known to rattle on the S2000 assuming you have enough power to do so.. good luck with the car.

Wow that JL looks nice.
I run that JL in a different box powered by a SoundStream 200 watt in the M --
I run that JL in a different box powered by a SoundStream 200 watt in the M --
get that spare outta there man...
Try this setup:
Wire the sub in the JL stealthbox in parallel to make it from 6ohm-->3ohm. Than go here http://www.woofersetc.com/shopexd.asp?id=3081 and use the Soundstream Picasso PIC2.440 to power that sub. You should see, if i am not mistaken about 300wRMS going to the 10W3v2.
Than get yourself JL Audio XR650-CSi from here http://www.woofersetc.com/shopexd.asp?id=1897</a> and go here <A HREF="http://www.woofersetc.com/shopexd.asp?id=3080" TARGET="_blank">http://www.woofersetc.com/shopexd.asp?id=3080 and use the Soundstream Picasso PIC2.320 to power those speakers. Your system than should sound amazing. Even though the sound imaging is not top notch due to speaker location, i am sure you can achieve max sound with the circumstances.
Let me know what you guys think.
EDIT-http://www.woofersetc.com/main.asp has GREAT prices man. I have not heard a single complaint about them yet!

Lookin really nice ... I know thats a Pioneer sub, but which one is it? What are the specs?
model: Pioneer 10" ts-w235F
the sub is a 10" open-air pioneer , it is really weak because it is only gettin' like 100 watts rms + its open-air [not enclosed in a box]...so right now i'm lookin' for a new setup to put in the car cause this setup is too weak, but it looks real nice

I think you should also do what i recommended to the guy who first started this post and go with the JL Audio Stealthbox. It looks so so sweet and i guatantee will sound much better than that crappy Pioneer sub. I have always hated them. They look like **** as well. What do you think? How does the Pioneer sound??? I know you said its weak, but do you think its just a big ol' POS?
i plan on having another box made to replace my existing setup, i had a image dynamic 12" IDQ sub with about 500 watts rms goin' to it in my integra, i still have that setup but i think that is a lil' too much power for my needs now...so i plan on probably just getting a jl 10"w3 in an enclosed box that will fit in the same spot where my pioneer sub is now...

i would have to agree that the pioneer sub is a BIG POS!!!, but as far as the jl stealthbox, its nice but i don't like the location
