Just Bought an S2K
I bought my S2000 last summer and I really want to do the UK exhaust mod. Simply for the sound. I also received an invidia test pipe when i bought the car but read it makes your car smell terrible. Im considering putting it on and modding the mufflers.

Re: Just Bought an S2K
he did say he just wanted it for sound...still kinda retarded IMO if you ask me...OP is probably the same kind of person that would take the stock airbox lid off for the sound as well...nothing sounds cooler than lost horsepower

Re: Just Bought an S2K
^I totally agree, sounds great stock and I wouldn't mind it a little louder but the same tone which is I'm sure why the OP wants to do the UK exhaust mod.
I just don't agree with all the other aftermarket exhausts I've heard.
Maybe someone will prove me wrong but so far, no one has..

Re: Just Bought an S2K
Thanks for the input. I dont want to put an exhaust on my car, they usually look stupid and do nothing for a N/A car. Just wanted it for the sound. Yes it might be a waste of MY money, but its MY money and MY car. I just wanted some constructive input, something this forum obviously lacks because of its over population of oafish and phlegmatic members. BUT...Now I think first im going to stance my car to make it super driveable, buy a sweet wing (cr replica but BIGGER), put at least 18 inch rims all the way around with super stretched tires, get a AEM V2 (box says it adds horsepower), maybe tri-turbo it, and buy a lip for it or maybe make one...Thanks again.

You should know better, everyone on ht is high class and has no time for exhaust mods on na 4 cylinders because they are swagged out in suits and ties and have no patience for non jdm talk

Re: Just Bought an S2K
the test pipe isn't so bad - i've had mine on for 4 years and never really noticed it. Some people complain more. It is by far the biggest power gain per $$ you can do for this car. It doesn't change the sound much though, maybe very slightly improved.
The alternative is a high flow cat - not quite the same gains, but plenty and no smell. Worth doing before playing with the exhaust in my opinion
