Re: Which brake pads? (Wicked04)
on my ap1 i had hawk pads at all 4 corners...great pads, decently priced, and there was almost no brake dust on the fronts.

Re: Which brake pads? (fish22)
Yeah the hawks are pretty good, but their cutomer service sucks, I got a defective pair for the rears, calling them and emailing them I didn't get a response back. THose BITCHES.
I replaces them with stocks and the fronts are still hawks, but when they fade I'll go back to OEM,

Re: (S@nt0s)
If only changing rears, OEM. If changing fronts as well I'd try Axxis Ultimates. I used those on my GSR and really liked them for the street. Maybe the S OEM pads are really good already, but I'm going to try the Ultimates to see how they compare.

I found this thread because at about 40k later, I need to replace the front brake pads now. There's plenty of material left on the pads, but the inner driver's side is totally messed up.

^^??
Try OEM. The OP didn't say anything about a specific purpose of the car...which usually means that the car is being used as a general daily driver. So what's wrong with the stock pads? They work great. No noise! Just like he wanted.

This is a super old thread but I got Hawk HPS pads for my RSX back in 2005 and the rears were defective too. Luckily I ordered them from TireRack and their customer service was excellent. They even offered to overnight the replacement pads.

Do you even use brake lube on each side where the brake pad slides back and worth? Its rusted to hell..... It seems like it would stick and not break properly...

nah dude lol.. the grease doesn't stop the caliper for SURE. **** if the side of the pads were made of sandpaper it still wouldn't do that. those were defective pads.

Re: Which brake pads? (fish22)
Strange, Ive been using Hawks for years now and never had a problem. The only problem Ive had which was my fault, I bought autocross/race type hawk pads by accident and they killed my rotors really fast haha... Ive actually had OEM pads that developed small cracks, and looked like they would fall apart soon.
