Why do people find it so hard to understand that going turbo = Expensive!
The number of times I have heard 'cheapest way to go turbo' or 'cheap turbo kit' is ridiculous! Its simple ... if you want it to work it is going to cost you a lot, unless you know what you are doing and piece together your own kit, where again it will cost you a lot, but not as much
To be perfectly honest if you are looking for the cheapest way to go turbo the best answer is DONT go turbo. Going turbo isn't only purchasing the original parts, its paying for the install, the tune, EMS, any other parts that you have to upgrade e.g. clutch, head gasket etc. Turboing your car comes together with many hidden costs!
If you are planning on going turbo the cheap way the chances are you will blow the motor sooner rather than later. As i normally state you get what you pay for, so you are better off saving your money for now and buying a 'tried and tested' turbo kit, or indeed if you know what you are doing piecing your own together, but don't just throw some money away because you want to go turbo as you will not be happy with the end result
