Icon2 03 S2000 Passenger Window Problem!

Hello Honda-Tech. I just ran into a problem with my passenger window and I need to get it fixed before it begins to rain! I am going to try and explain this without any confusion!

At first my passenger side switch would stop working on occasions when I would try and roll the passenger window down, but I would hear a click coming from the bottom of the dashboard on the passenger side every time I pushed the button . It wasn't a big deal because the switch on the driver side would still work. Well, suddenly the driver side switch wouldn't always work. I would keep pushing both buttons up and down and eventually the passenger window would roll up (Keep in mind that I would still hear a clicking sound while pushing each button). Yesterday I decided to roll the passenger window down with the driver switch and it would roll down but when I would push the button for a second and let go, the window would roll all the way down automatically. I tried to roll the window back up while it was still rolling down and the window wouldn't stop. (To my knowledge, only the driver window has the one push auto roll function.) I then tried to roll my window up with the driver switch and It would not roll back up. Keep in mind that NOW I don't hear a click when I use the driver side switch to try and roll the passenger window up or down, but I do still hear a click if I push the passenger switch. Then, today I turned my car on and now I hear a constant "click" sound coming from the passenger door every 3 or 4 seconds. (Neither switches for the passenger window work at this time). I'm very confused.. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you again Honda-Tech.

I'm thinking that it might be my switch because I don't hear a relay click when I push the button now. Has anyone had similar symptoms before?

Yes, that is correct, but at one point only the driver side switch worked.

Does the driver's switch still operate the driver's window ok?

I am wondering if the passenger motor is bad.

If you want to test it, take off the panel, unplug the motor connector, take battery power positive to one lead, negative to the other in the motor connector and see if the window goes up or down, you can switch the wires and it will move in the other direction.

Similiar problem here, MY'00. Passenger window only rolls down, not up (it's the same when using either the driver or passenger window control.) I replaced the window switch but that didn't fix anything.

Driver's window works fine.

No dont just put a negative and positive to.the switch. Go buy an ohm meter nd check the resistance on the switch unplug it and probe it after youve done that move on to the restr of the circuit that clicking sound is probably a relay going bad and that coil in the relay is taking a ****. Let me know whn I get a metr and a schematic for the windows

I am not talking about the switch, I am referring the the plug to the motor. You have to pull of the door panel, then unplug the motor connector, then take power from the car battery or a separate battery use positive and negative and do what I stated above.

U mm no ur still wrong. Depending on what type of motr it is it can work but you could sort out the field by doing that and ruin the motor. If you wana check the motor ohm out the ields to the motor case or neg and that will tell u if its shorted and across the armature also . But still is it a brushless dc motor?

It is a test in the service manual, you are only supposed to do it slightly do see if it will move then pull power.

Remember you are only applying 12 volts, like the motor is intended to run on.
