Things to look for when buying a used ruckus.
Hello, I am interesting in getting into the Ruckus World. I am potentially going to purchased a 2007 Honda Ruckus with 2600 miles on it for $800. The problems he stated that there was a carburetor problem, and that it doesn't run good uphills, dies when idling when cold until it warms up. My question is, is there anything I should look for when inspecting the Ruckus? I attached are some photos of the ruckus.

Re: Things to look for when buying a used ruckus.
this ruck is pretty modded... as for the carb, its most likely a jetting issue since it has a DIY intake. these rucks are pretty sensitive to mods. I recommend getting a stock ruck. it will give you an opportunity to get familiar with the scoot. If you decide to mod it, you'll at least have control and better understanding of the impact of the mods to the scoot.
But truth be told, If you want something faster, maybe consider a grom. more speed for your buck. Rucks are much more of a easy riding platform... unless you decide to swap the engine (but that's a whole new discussion/headache).
PM me if you have any questions. I currently have a '13 Ruck.
