Re: GY6 Swap
T-motorsports.com sells them for cheap. I bought my scoot from there and the engine is really reliable. Also, a few guys from scootdawg forums bought the same engine and love it.
Last I read was that they don't have them posted in the website, you have to ask for them.

Re: GY6 Swap
$550 shipped is kinda steep. You can find some on ebay for $350 shipped or this one for $260.

^Yeah, but you are getting everything almost except mounts. You don't have to put together your own parts.
* 150cc Engine
* Intake Manifold
* Drum Brakes
* Carb
* 11 Pole Stator
* 11 Pole Regulator Rectifier
* CDI
* Starter Soleniod
* Throttle Cable
* Wheel Nut
Saves you the headache.

Re: GY6 Swap
So if you buy the engine on ebay for $350, what else do you need for the swap, other than the engine mounts.
Also $500 dollars for the mounts is what rucksters.com is asking. Thats Fn crazy, anyone know of anyone else that sells mounts for a realistic price. For 500 seems like I could just have a machine shop custom them.

who are you gonna try to call?
the products on the market are proven and tested to work. not worth saving 100-200 dollars.
the motors on ebay for 350 just make sure they are long case and not short case motors.
there s a reason they are cheaper cuz there's no demand for them. places are blowing those out.
the gy6 is a generic motor used from scooters to two person go carts and quads.
becareful of what you buy.

Re: GY6 Swap
For mount i recommend either Killer scooters or Batman mount. Also when purchasing a motor the best one out there is the Lance motor. It has the chrome trans cover and also a egr valve. From what i heard it's slightly faster then the rest stock.
