trunk spring removal
how do you remove the trunk spring on a 5th gen prelude? i just purchased a CF trunk..and i can't pop open my trunk without it flying up (only did this once. now my friend pushes down on the trunk slightly to prevent the trunk from flying up). i've never removed a trunk spring before, so some help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

There is a special tool that they make for these type of springs, but you could probably do it with some creative use of pry bars. Actually I'm sure you could, I took mine out a while back and it wasn't too hard...

i used a very large crescent wrench to do it. it gives you leverage and control over the torsion rods when you take them off.
