Default Sway Bar is rubbing my coilover

I have the Tein SS coilover set and I recently put on Suspension Techniques rear sway bar. I have my trunk cleared out and empty so I do hear some noises coming from the rear. Lately though I have had a different noise that was louder and didnt seem like it was right. Its kinda hard to descibe the sound but it sorta sounds like two pieces of plastic hitting each other or something and it usually only does it when im first starting out and going pretty slow, turning or going straight. I checked inside the trunk and didnt see anything. I was looking for something underneath that was making the noise and it looked like the left rear coilover was rubbing the sway bar. I jacked it up and it was. I guess my questions are why is the sway bar so close that is rubbing on the left side and not the right, is this going to mess anything up ( I know that it shoudnt be rubbing), and could this even be making the noise that im hearing. If not does anyone know what the noise could be. Please help!
