i changed the battery on my friends 01 prelude and the radio is asking for a code, n the dealer is charging like an hour of labor to set it agian... do know any codes that i could try to get it to work agian? thanx for the help

find another dealer its like a 5-6 digit code that comes on a little card that should have been with the car. you punch it in using the number keys takes under 30 seconds for an idiot to do, just find a dealer that will give the code and do it yourself

What they are going to do is pull the stock radio out and look at the code on it.

You can do that too. Then go in and tell them the code. If they say no then call another dealership. Lawrence, KS has some cool guys in parts.

take out your stereo and go to parts section at the dealer with your car regestration paper and in less then one min they will give you the code. WithOUT charging you. If the try to charge you talk to the maneger and tell him his workers are on coke or something.
