yeah the sensor may be plugged in , but is the whole vss put back in the tranny and bolted down?

one of the steps is to remove the vss and set it aside, you either forgot to plug the vss conector in or, forgot to insert the vss back into the tranny

does there have to be power steering fluid and the hoses runing in and out for the speedo to work? also. would that cause a check engine light.

i currently do not have the power steering hoses connected. and i have no power steering fluid

the vss will cause a check engine light eventually, and no there doesn't need to be powersteering fluid for the vss to work. anyone that eliminates powerstearing just loops those lines at the vss.

The VSS is on the far right in this pic with the 3 brass-colored screws close to eachother...

Check the actual sensor and check the electrical connector.

what if you leave those tubes open and not loop them, does it leak out tranny fluid at high revvs or what?

Yep - man, I did the same exact thing when I replaced my clutch. Haven't had time to look at it - the prelude is parked. Most likely, the sensor is plugged in - but its not in properly. This is my case.

The check engine light will come on when you're engine breaking - maybe at like 4,000 or so. Power steering won't effect it whatsoever. Find some time to check it out - little people might not need a lift -but i'm pretty big
