Is it ok to run 185/60/15 tires on the fronts and 205/60/15 or the rear. 4th gen Si
So I'm running 205/60/15's and my fronts are almost worn. My cousin has 2 almost new Falken ZIEX ZE-912 185/60 R15 that he only drove 50 miles. He gave me these and I'm wondering if it's ok for the drive train and handling. Does it put too much stress on the drive train if the apest ratio is this different?
I've already put them on and driven them about 5 miles and they are simply great tires. Didn't go on the highway or over 40 mph yet. I just wondering if this can do anything negative to my car. Thanks

Nothing bad will happen, but I'd put the wider tires in the front.

Yea, more traction yO! You planning on changing the 205's to 185's too?

x2 fwd & more weight up front. more traction.

The 185/60's are 20MM skinnier (width), and 1 inch shorter in diameter. This new tire will have 33more revolutions per mile then the stock 205/60, and the 185/60 will SPEED up your speedometer/odometer. 186/60R15 is the Ford Escort ZX2 OE tire. I would not run them, personally, but if you must, then run them in the rear so speedo is right. Also if you have ABS brakes, then you definitely should not use them as your ABS system will not like the different sizes.

I wouldnt use them at all, but if you are going to keep using them, i would put them on the back. You need the traction up front.
