S2K Oil Filter on BB6
Anyone have experience with using an OEM S2K filter on a BB6 Prelude?
Changing the oil tomorrow, and have a spare one left from out old S2k (bought a case of them when we had it)
I assume that since both are 2.2L it would be okay? Or does the H series have higher oil pressures?

Yes you can use an S2000 filter on your H22/H23

Actually no they were not the same. The old Honda filter was slightly smaller then the S2000 filter and had a different part #.

I have been running the S2000 oil filter for years now. I do have a couple more pounds of oil pressure at idle using the bigger filter. But I would "think" it would be the other way around because the smaller filter has less oil capacity. I did this back to back in warmed up conditions with the same results ( didn't have anything better to do that day at work )

The oil pressure sensor might be after the filter so the smaller filter probably creates a pressure loss due to the lower flow.

Maybe the old one the new ones dont. Honda S2000 Part# 15400-PCX-004 and Prelude is part# 15400-PLM-A02, the older versions of the prelude were 15400-P0H-305 they had a smaller outside diameter.

So was the old Prelude filter slightly smaller than the s2k filer but larger than the current standard one?

O sorry didn't realise you guys were talking about OEM. When I checked pepboys, the mobil1 oil filters were the same part #;s.
