Default Oil leak after head gasket replacement

What's up guys, so I replaced the head gasket on my prelude over a month ago, while I did this I replaced a bunch of seals and ordered a re-man head. It's a 92 with the f22a1 and it's been running fine, I've driven it about 800 miles and the oil level is fine and condition is good, coolant level is fine and condition is good, but I've developed a small oil leak on the back side of the motor on the drivers side. I'm not good at describing this but on that side of the motor there is a small flat surface that juts out of the block that extends past the head kind of like a shelf, and it is wet with oil. It's not a huge leak but it's enough to make me mad after doing all the work to the car. I'm about 90% sure it's not coming from the valve cover gasket because the head seems to be dry, it seems to be coming from the head gasket area. Would it be worth it to take the valve cover off and just check the torque on the head bolts? I've put a lot of hard work into this car and even the smallest leak really upsets me. Any input is really appreciated.

i had the same problem but in the front of the head, i replaced the distributor o-ring,cam seal, and re-torqued head and the leak was gone. If you want it gone i've heard of people putting rtv on it, but i wouldnt rely on that.

It's possible if you clean out the area really good so there's no oil residue left whatsoever that you can apply some rtv to the area and let it dry for a complete day that it will seal it up.

Yea literally all of the seals on the top end of this motor have been replaced. Manny are you saying apply rtv to the outside of the motor?

Really? I wouldn't think that would seal it up. If I am correct it sounds like you're saying just apply it to the area where the head and block meet, as in just kind of coat that small area. Is this how you would apply it? Or is there some special method?
