Default OBD2 Code P1382 on 97 prelude...changed everything and tracked wiring.

So im working on a 97 prelude that came in for a CEL. Check the code and its P1382. CYP sensor. So i swapped in a good know dizzy. Same code. Another dizzy to be sure, same code. Tried another ECU. Gets same code. Tracked the wiring from the dizzy plug all the way to the ecu with no shorts or grounding out or into other wires. No matter what i do...car keeps code P1382. Im flat out lost at this point.

Yeah, i used the scanner, erased the code and it comes back instantly. And i swapped out ECU's and another ECU does the exact same thing

Hmmm, if the sensor is good and the ECU, and you checked the wires to the ECU maybe the connectors at the end of the wires or at the ECU is corroded? I think It's safe to use electrical contact cleaner, someone correct me of I'm wrong.

pretty much has to be a connector or wiring issue at this point based on all available info

Ive checked the wiring from the back side of the dizzy plug while it was plugged in, and then also removed the cover from the ECU and checked continuity from the dizzy plug to inside the ECU. And checked resistance between the + and - and its within the 350-700 ohms at the ecu coming from the CYP sensor. Pulled an ecu out of a good running 97 prelude and plugged it in to receive the same code. And put the ecu out of the problem car into the good prelude to see it throw no codes. So tomorrow i will be running wires straight from the CYP sensor to the ECU.

you must use shielded wire

You probably have this already, but straight from the Helm's: P1382 is no signal from CYP. Should be 260-460Ω between terminals 2 & 4 of the dizzy connector (right side top and bottom as you look at it); there should also be no continuity between body ground and either of those terminals.

Same thing at the ECU side; 260-460Ω between C4 and C14 with no ground contact to either.

Both lines run through the upper blue 14P connector by the passenger-side shock tower; pins 3 & 14 (right side top & bottom) if need to trace a short or open, you can at least determine which side it's on.
