Default OBD-II to OBD-I Quick Question

I'm having alot of trouble with my prelude OBD-II ECU and Immobilizer.
If i put a OBD-I ECU i can put a key in the ignition that doesn't have the transponder in it and the car will start right?

Before i buy the new ECU I want to make sure that i will solve my problem.
I know i can swap immobilizer and stuff but the ECU is cheaper for me since i'm buying it off a friend.

Please help...

You are going to need the OBD2 to OBD1 wiring harness thing so you can plug in your obd1 ecu.

no. you need to search and find all the components of the swap. you have to at least change your distributer, you'll have to get a resistor box for your injectors(or ohm resistors like some of us cheapos do it), i'm sure there are other things, but I can't remember
