What happened to my H23?

What happened to my H23?
i had a blown H23, so I did what i wanted to do in the first place, and bought a JDM H22A. Anywho, i just took the oil pan off of my H23, and there are metal shards all over the oil pan and inside the oil sender. Has anyone seen this before?
