Default Need some help on my recent swap...

So My h23 block blew, so i had to swap in a F22a4 for the mean time so i can drive it around, I heard that the F series and the H series are interchangable, So I did that, I have the h23 Intake manifold on the a4 and the alternator etc.. But I tried putting the h23 belt for alternator because the alternator is from the h23. But it is too loose... the i tried the f22 one, and it was loose? Is it the H23 Bracket that could be the problem? do i need the F alternator bracket? because it might extend out further..?>

buy a new belt.
use a piece of rope/twine/string to measure the length. get one same length at auto parts store.
install.
have a beer.

don't worry about an engine specific belt. just get one the same style that is the length you need.

Yes, you may get a funny look, but it will work. make sure the rope is the right length.
And do you mean you mean spark plug wires? You can do a search for firing order pretty easily. I recommend buying a Factory Repair Manual if you plan on doing much work to this car.

Might also want to try spell checking your post before hitting the post button. Seriously. Makes a lot of people frustrated and not help.
