Ignition system recall on 1998 models & engine rebuilds?
Has anyone brought their cars in for this recall, and had Honda mention they would do additional engine work? I was starting to have some serious knocking/rattle, and they said they would be rebuilding my engine (fully covered under base warranty, they said). I wonder if these two problems are related (the ingition causing almost unnoticable problems, over several years, and slowly causing engine damage?).

Re: Ignition system recall on 1998 models & engine rebuilds?
Thats weird because my wife was driving the Prelude the other day and while making a left turn the car suddenly shut itself off. Never happened before and I definitley need to bring the car in for that recall. I'd hate for it to shut off and loose control of the car while on the expressway.
*I also have been noticing that when you disarm the alarm the ignition is still immobilized, it takes me a few disarm/arming sessions to make the ignition start up.
I'd like to hear more about the so called engine rebuilds side of the recall.
Anyone with any info please post here!!
