Default help with my o2 sensor cel code 41

I am pulling a cel code 41 which is the "Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater".

I'm trying to figure out if its the sensor or the wiring without the use of a digi multimeter (i don't have one)

When i pull the o2 sensor connector from the main harness should I also receive a code 1 (Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S))?

thats what i am thinking, thing is the cel came about after i had a clutch put in. acutally right when i took the car from the mechanic. i would have left it there to have him diagnose it/fix it if it was his fault but i needed the car that day.

it was taken for a test drive after. i was the one that noticed it when i hopped in it to drive it home. it is very likely that it gave out when i turned it, but its also likely that they pinched a wire or something when connecting everything back to the main harness.

when you say main harness, do you mean, in the engine or under the dash? I'm just trying to get a picture of what they could have done. If it's in the engine bay, you should be able to see if it's a pinched wire. Have you taken the sensor out yet to see if it's blown? I had a sensor go bad before and it looked like the tip of the sensor mushroomed out. it's supposed to look like the tip of a nipple.

havent had a chance to take the sensor out and look at it, ill try to do it this weekend, i was speaking of the main harness connection under the hood. im getting my hands on a mutimeter tomorrow.

I wanted to know if the connector was unplugged would it throw codes 1 and 41, or just 41.
