Default HELP!!!!!!! h22a1 in 94 SI i have probs

hello everyone.. I know alot of you will say "SEARCH NOOB" and i already have. I have found that the Si preludes were prewired for Vtec. And i looked under my hood and looked for these 2 wires everyone is always talking about. I found a green/yellow stripe (vtec solenoid wire) and a just straight blue wire. They are in my harness in the engine bay but they have lil blanks plugged into them ( capped off)...

Now being i found these wires...Now my question is. Where in the hell does this blue wire plug into? I beliveve it is called vtec oil something. I know i sound vauge but i am very confused.

I see that the vtec solenoid wire is there and i know how to hook that up. Thats no problem. I just need to know where this blue wire plugs into. PLEASE SHOW PICS.

ALSO. i do have a p13 coming on the 1st...so i wanna have all these wires set up and ready so that i can just plug my p13 in and have vtec.

I read somehwhere that the car is prewired for vtec, and i realize that. and i do have my 2 wires located like everyone talks about. But PLease explain what i do inside the car..i pulled my carpet back and stuff and i see the p14 ecu..but i dont see the blue wire or the green/yellow stripe wire. Where are they at in the floorboard?

edit: i just talked to a honda techn and he said that the wires are in the harness and plug into the p14 ecu but are not used.

So this sounds like to me... i need to plug in my vtec solenoid. FIND this plug where the blue wire goes to, get my p13, plug it in. and go! is this right? and please ONLY ANSWER IF U KNOW FOR SURE.

I swapped an a4 into my 95 Si a few years back.

That wire should go straight to the harness by the ecu. Pin D6, oil pressure switch. Check for continuity for that pinout at the harness side. Run a jumper from the blue wire to a power source (battery), then check the pin at D6 for continuity. If it lights up, that's your oil pressure wire.

i see where vtec green/yellow is there and fine. but this BLUE WIRE goes to nothing under my hood..it just sits there and i know it is vtec related. now where does it plug in on the motor?

Under the VTEC solenoid is a gray or white plug. That's your VTEC oil pressure switch. Did you get an H22 wiring harness to go along with the motor? If not, you'll need a spare connector that'll fit in that sensor and wire the blue wire to it.

the single wire plug with the blue wire is your tech test lead NOT anything to do with vtec.

Like I said earlier, check continuity of the wire to pin D6 to see if it is infact the correct wire. Otherwise, run a new wire from the VTEC oil pressire switch to that pin position.

The other wire on the VTEC oil pressure switch goes to ground. Ground it on the thermostat nearby.

ok, i can repin. thats no prob. Now my question is...

What about the wires (meaning vtec solenoid and vtec OP) the 2 that i pin in the correct ones stated above. What do i do with the 2 wires that are currently in those specific pins. do i just leave them out and go to nothing or what? i am looking at it as...yeah it no prob doing these two wires and vtec solenoid and vtec OP work fine but after that i am going to have 2 random wires going to nothing at the ecu???

OK...i got all my wiring done...the light blue wire for the vtec OP was right by the fuse box under the hood... i ran it to the vtec op and did the ground...

I also extended my vtec solenoid wire and it is plugges in also...so now all i am waiting for is my p13... 5 more days til i buy it and it'll be on it's way.
