Help with Accord Popper
Hi, i have the 5 wire popper not the 2 wire so i can't figure it out. can anyone help me? i'm tryin to make this work with a viper alarm with aux button
This is how the accord popper is wired:
Wires into Actuator
Black wire grounded into popper body, splits out and goes into the actuator
Blue wire with green stripe goes into actuator too
Into popper internals
Brown wire connects to the bronze flap thing
Blue and Green wire goes into the switch with the white lever
When trunk is closed, switch is down and the bronze flap doesn't contact anything
When trunk is open, switch is up and bronze flap touches the metal post that moves the teeth
My stock male plug inside the trunk only has 2 wires, black and orange. so how do i wire these 2 to work with the 5 wire female plug coming from the popper?
SOME PICS i took of the popper and wires:
this is how it looks like when the trunk is closed, that lil white switch is down and that metal metal flap thing doesn't touch anything
and when the trunk is open, the switch is up and the bronze metal flap touches the gold post thing
these are the wires going into the actuator or whatever its called, the thing that electronically pops it
and these are the wires i have to work with
