flywheel install
i recently installed a AASCO light weight aluminum flywheel i recently saw a post with a burnt up fly wheel i was wondering on how to break in my new clutch and flywheel and if i need to do any thing to the flywheel b4 install like cleaning i would rather not take off the clutch but i wiil if you expert opion thinks so i have not put the tranny on yet so it wont be that bad

Yea some people say 150 - 200 miles of babying the clutch and others say 4 - 500. I figure the more miles u do the safer you should be.
As for cleaning the flywheel just make sure that there's not grease all over it and you should be straight. You could also put some locktite on the flywheel bolts to make sure that they dont back out.

I would clean the flywheel with some brake cleaner. Try not to handle the clutch disk. As stated above just break in the clutch for close to 400-500Miles at most.
