I'm hitting the track this weekend with my pro2 cammed f20b prelude and want to know what the fastest known time so far.

Pretty sure no one around H-T has done much drag racing in an f20 swapped Prelude. None of the top 20 times have one if I am correct, as most of us go bigger on displacement to move these heavy cars, not smaller. Might be some turbo cars out there running good times, but I am guessing those are going to be Civics and Tegs, not Preludes.

im very well aware that most people with f20b preludes don't drag race. They definitely lack low end torque and if you don't have a short geared transmission it makes it even worse. I already had a f20b powered eg that ran 12.7 on slicks with cams full interior and I want to try to get my prelude in the 13.99 with slicks.

i went the the track and seen a ton of RSX and Si 8th and 9th gen so automatically those were my bench mark and not my actuall trap speed and times. I wanted to see how I would compare to them since I'm similar weight and power. I was getting shitty 60fts best of 2.4 but got a 2.6 too so my times were BAD. Most important my trap speed was consistent with the other Si I ran into and spoke to the owners and they were making 215-220+ wheel and we all trap 95-96 mph so I was happy that I trap 95 same as the Si. I'm making about 210 wheel right now.


my m2s4 killed my low end like crazy,crazy lag. I'll be back with slicks a t2w4 transmission, retune and try to get 13.99.


my 95mph with slicks is good for 14.4s easy as is.

Before spending any money on tires, tranny, or tune, maybe hit another track day and work on launches. With a stock h22 I was cutting consistent 2.2 60 ft times on all season tires, dropped to 2.0 with drag radials, and I never fully broke my slicks in, but was down to 1.7 on them. I tried to get to the point where all of my runs are consistent within a tenth or so for multiple runs, so that I know it is not my driving leaving any potential that the car has un-used.

As I thought back, I realized that I did make a few changes at the same time on my car. When I went to drag radials was also when I had installed my fresh 2.3 block, as well as M2B4 trans. Due to that I did have a small period getting adjusted to get car, but was cutting consistent times within a few runs. 60 ft stayed at 2.0s, while my e.t. And trap showed the power of the bigger engine, which was approx 203 whp for the weight at 3500 ft elevation, using trap calculators.
