Default F22 crank in 97 H22a4

So I read that an F22 crank will match up perfect in a 92-97 H22 and if my measurements are right I'll need an F22 crank H23 rods and H22 pistons with a thicker headgasket. Can anybody help confirm this? and how well would this setup be for a turbo? If I go with lower compression pistions for the turbo will I still need the thicker headgasket or am I better off sticking with the H22 crank rods and pistons?

What are your intended goals? Yeah it'll fit, check your deck height / head shavedness when you have it apart, then order the appropriate head gasket if you choose to go that route.

F22 crank + H23 rods + H22 Pistons + thicker head gasket = 2.3 or 2.4L that spins to 7k RPM safely I think. The only reason I could see for this would be a budget build or if you had all the parts in place already.

H22 crank + rods + pistons = 2.2L ran the way it was intended that I've personally seen spun up to 8500 regularly without issue. I think 8k RPM is pretty safe.

Ultimately it depends on what your power goals are and what suits your setup best. Here are some things to consider doing some research on:

What power levels do you want to reach?
-find someone who has a setup you'd like to model yours after closely.
What kind of performance do you want (and does it match the build from the Q above)?
-street monster (street tires) vs. drag setup (slicks) vs. roadracing
-what part of the powerband will you be using the most? (do you need low-end, mid range or only VTEC range?)
What supplementary mods will you have?
-Clutch, transmission, LSD?, etc.
Will the answers to the above 3 work together with the setup you want to build?

I would personally find an F20B, swap out the pistons/rods and run a small/mid sized turbo and be done with it. Best of luck

Ive seen a setup similar to the one I asked about with a polished and ported head and intake and some sleeves in a civic hatch si and it ran low 12's. My goal is 11's preferably low but mid would still be good. thanks for confirming it for me but one last question. The compression the setup had was 12.3 is that too high to do a small nos shot to bring me into the 11's?

Heres the build list I pulled from another forum.

H23 crank
h23 crower rods
11.5 h22 88mm cp pistons (had to cut the doom off the pistons to get 12.3 compression)
golden eagle dropp in sleeves
skunk2 stage 2 cams
port and polished head (by my dad )
port and polished stock intake (by my dad )
kidd racing header (rmf)
2.5 muffler shop exaust
3 inch cold air intake
h series t2t4 trany off a f20b
252hp (about 25 more hp across the midrange because of the larger crank i beleive)
running 12.3 in si hatch complete interior
