Kinda funny. I was just looking at those too.

It's interesting, because for the cost of an ACT Flywheel, you can get an XTD Clutch and Flywheel Kit for the same price. The Flywheel looks like an ACT replica and it even weighs the same 12 lbs. Now one has to wonder about the quality of these things.

Anyone willing to try it out and let us know?

Any updates on this clutch and flywheel? I've been taking a look at them as well, but would rather wait for more reviews on this product. The pricing is really hard to beat, depends on the quality. Please let us know, for I would purchase it as well if there was a good review on it. Appreciate it.

yeha i got the lightweight flywheel its 11lbs and i got the stage 1 clutch. Its great . Grabs alot better than stock and the lighter fly helps out alot. For the price its well worth it . ive got abt 1500 miles on mine so far no problems yet

well my flywheel was also rated at 12lbs in the ebay description but i weighed it and it came to 11 lbs

i was also curious how much a difference the stock clutch , flywheel, and pressure plate weighed against the XTD kit.

stock weighed in at 31 lbs and Xtd kit weighed 24 lbs so i saved over 7 lbs with the new kit

alright well i only have about 150 mi on it so far but its been pretty good. the flywheel seems to be high quality (i weighed it at 12 lbs) and the pressure plate seems good too. but when i got the clutch it just seemed normal with a shity spraypainting job on it with an XTD sticker slapped on the side. so far it made a weird clicking noise the first 20 mi les (went away), and slipping once and a while not anymore though. it grabs pretty quickly but ill give you another update in a few days

oh and i can definatley notice a difference in the 12 lb. flywheel

Nice. I hope it works well for you. I'm diving in with a set of F1 stage 2 with their 8.5lb chromoly flywheel from Gripforce and I will keep things posted on our experience.

I bought the XTD stage 1 clutch and 12 lb. flywheel. The flywheel is pretty nice, but I had a bad experience with the clutch.

The pressure plate that came with it was a daikin and works well, but the disc broke into pieces before I was done breaking it in. So, I ended up paying to have a clutch installed twice plus the cost of a new (exedy) disc.

I'm looking into getting that Fidanza 8lbs flywheel.

How harsh is the engagement for the stage III clutch systems?

mine is a stage 3 and i thought the pedal would be real hard but it isent, however the friction point is very small but im getting used to it.

ok im up to almost 700 miles and the clutch feels stronger than it did before after breaking it in. The weird clicking sound is gone and the pedal always feels strong. oh and the flywheel kicks ***.

F1 racing by gripforce seems to be better overall from my research. They are one of the hugest retailers out there on clutches, and I don't see them risking their reputation on cheap low-end products. Cheap doesn't always have to mean "piece of ****"

I'm diving into a set of F1 racing from Gripforce as soon as my stock ITR ones wear down a bit more and they have a good deal with a chromoly flywheel. You can call them and have them package a stage 2 clutch if you are not heavily modded like my ITR.

Good deal and no bad reviews yet on the Gripforce F1's. XTD's I've heard about 3.

Hope this helps for deal shoppers like me.

I have a 5th gen prelude. I fried my last clutch and found someone selling a XTD Stage 3 Clutch on ebay for a "96-98 accord". I know alot of the parts are similar so I got the part number and it was the same. I won it for about $90 NEW.
I bought a chrome-moly 11lb flywheel and had had them put on. I too was skeptical about "XTD clutches".. For the first 400 miles I was stalling and it was pretty tricky. It eventually gets easier to drive smoothly but those plates just want to grap.
I would buy from them again although if you want a clutch that lasts get a stock one.

Any major differences with the 12lb. flywheel...? Does it want to stall out on you, or act funny, anything bad to report? what are the good things youve noticed? I need a new clutch/flywheel this week & i think i might be going with a stage 2 clutch & 12lb. flywheel combo fom ebay, but im not sure which company to go with.

Just wondering if youve had any negative thoughts like some other people have, no need to be a smart ***.

Like I said in my other post, I have the XTD 12lb. flywheel and it works well. Some people will make it sound like you'll gain a ton of horsepower and it's the greatest mod ever.. I didn't notice much of a power difference, but I love how much faster it revs and my favorite part about it is how fast I can rev-match for a downshift. Other than that, I wouldn't expect too much.

You might stall it a couple times in the first couple hundred miles, but once you get used to it, it feels close to the stock flywheel as far as launching goes.

I was also looking into them. I wonder if anyone has put any good amount of milage on them yet? I would hate to buy one and then have to replace it just after putting it in.

Bringing back a dead thread but I am about to buy the F1 Racing Stage 2 clutch and a 9.75 lb flywheel. I'm concerned of reliability of my stock B18B with that light of a flywheel. Shoul I not worry about it? Thanks.
