f20b h22 pros and cons
ok..so iv heard alot about the advantages and dis advantages of f20 compaired to the h22.. know i was thinking of swaping my h22 for f20 bc it has the same hp, lil less torque but the big thing is CAST SLEEVES... i beleive the h22 is one of the best engines ever made except the sleeves. so what are your thoughts let me know.

Because its JDM yo its so much better....
I would rather have a sleeved h22 for the same cash .. I dont know where your getting for only 700.. Maybe 700 and 350 in shiping.. If your motor is burning oil it prob valve seals leaking and its normal, use some BG piston ring cleaner .. It works

Honestly the h22 will more likely have more torque but not by much maybe 10-15 ft lbs more but that f20b can last a **** long time i promise you. It doesn't have oil squirters but it can hold 9k revs for a long time i have owned one but lost it in a rain storm. It lasted me 3 yrs with heavy abuse but it ran like a champ.

Re: f20b h22 pros and cons
I have an f20b right now in my 5th gen accord(a little bit lighter than 5th gen lude) and I also got 2 h22a before, even if the peak horsepower are the same, the h22a stock VS f20b stock engine, the h is really more pleasant to drive and faster in a heavy car like these,if my engine run bad some day,I'm just gonna swap an h23a vtec engine in it,with the f20b cam, upgraded spring and other stuff I can transplant, making something fun to drive even if it's not redlining

Re: f20b h22 pros and cons
Since y'all r on the subject.. I have a jdm h22 head and I'm buying an a1 block.. any suggestions for internals?? I want to go n/a with high revs and a direct port 50 or 75 shot.. and just in case anyones wondering y in the world I would want to spray is cuz 1..the DP kit is sitting in the corner at my house so its free.. and I like to run both n/a and power adder classes..
Any suggestions on any internals from other seris's that would be most durable without sleeving??

Well i got a g22 has more torque than the f20b. It's pretty torquey and it has no vtec at the moment but it will soon. 11.78:1 compression f22a1 block with the f20b head.

Re: f20b h22 pros and cons
Why? 9K revs, no FRM, cost offset perfectly by the sale of my H22A4, and since its not daily lack of TQ doesnt affect me.
I would NEVER go the stroke route, no frankens LS/B20VTEC, no F+H Head, No K20/24 no H23A1+VTEC no H23 VTEC, and if I get an S2000, no F22C. That said, H22, H23V and F20B all sell for the same price, I made my choice.
I want my cars to deliver power a certain way, and definitely not to lower the redline. if I want TQ, I'll drive a make other than Honda. I'm also not blasting down the 1320, and that extra speed must not be important since I chose a Piglude, AND making sure all the comforts stay intact.
If I didnt sell it for $850 I totally would.
