How are these clutches? I was think about getting a "stage 1" because It offers the upgrade torque capacity and it also retains the normal street drivability. Who uses these and how do you like them so far?

stage 2 should be fine for a daily driver/ weekend warrior.

I myself went with a unsprung puck disc.

Based on the info you provided us, I've drawn one conclusion. You have more money than you know what to do with.

Based on what you use your car for, you should use an OEM Exedy clutch kit. You don't need anything else.

Since you already have a Stage 1, just keep it.

If your car is daily driven the Stage 1 is perfect, if you plan to make a habbit of going to the drag strip the stage 2 will last longer.

What mods do you have that you think you have 250 hp? I/H/E doesn't add 50 hp...

If you do in fact have 250 hp, I'd go with the stage 2. I have heard many good things about it's driveability and I'm sure it will hold the amount of power you have.

Yeah, there's a thin and a thick version of the disc (3-puck sprung). The thin is obviously lighter, but doesn't withstand heat as well. For some reason they say use the thin only for the track??

The thicker version is just that and it holds up to heat better and they reccomend it over the thin for street use.

I got the thin one, so we'll see....

what type of mods? My old street nitrous setup made well over 250 whp. I was using nippon denso clutch stage 1 clutch which is basically the samething. Over 2years clutch is still good. I have a more beefy setup now so I using stage 2. If its daily driven I would say stick with the stage 1, unless you honestly have 250whp which is not easy to pull off. Just my 2cent

it better to get a "weaker" clutch than a stronger one due to the grabing abilities of each and the harder it grabs the more likely you are to break axles and trannys, I'd rather have a clutch go than a tranny, thats just me though.
