I have a code 5 and a code 12, i have searched but could not really find anything on my year.

code 0 - ecu
code 1 - oxygen content a
code 2 - oxygen content b
code 3,5 - manifold absolute pressure sensor
code 4 - crank angle
code 6 - coolant temp
code 7 - throttle angle
code 8 - TDC position
code 9 - #1 cyl. position
code 10 - intake air temp
code 12 - exhaust gas recirculation system
code 13 - atmosperic pressure
code 14 - electronic idle controll
code 15 - ignition outout signal
code 16 - fuel injector
code 17 - vehicle speed sensor

I bought the car without an exhaust, could this be the cause of code 12? well it ends right after the cat.

im not sure where the egr system recirculates. might wanna try cleaning the egr valve first. do a search for cleaning procedures and go from there
